Who operates the site and acceptance of the terms

spotlymixo operates this website from the United Kingdom. By accessing or using the site and enrolling in our specialised courses on live production decks, control rooms, multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation, and professional management of television and streaming productions, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the site immediately. These terms constitute a binding contract under UK law and incorporate the requirements of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the UK GDPR.

Eligibility and permitted use

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts in the United Kingdom to use this site or purchase courses. Permitted use is limited to personal or professional training purposes directly related to the course topics. You may access course materials only after payment and only for the duration specified in your enrolment agreement. Commercial redistribution or use of course content for your own training business is prohibited without prior written consent from spotlymixo.

Prohibited conduct

You must not attempt to copy, record, or redistribute any live demonstration, video feed, or control-room simulation provided during courses. You must not interfere with the technical delivery of real-time video operations or attempt to access restricted areas of the site. Harassment of instructors, other participants, or staff during online sessions is forbidden. Violations may result in immediate termination of access and potential legal action under UK law.

Accounts, submissions, or user content

When you create an account to access course materials, you must provide accurate information. Any submissions such as practical assignments involving multi-camera switching logs or broadcasting plans remain your responsibility. spotlymixo may use anonymised examples of submissions for course improvement but will not publish identifiable user content without consent. You retain ownership of your submissions but grant spotlymixo a licence to use them for delivering and refining the training programme.

Ownership of site content, trademarks, and permitted limited use

All course materials, including diagrams of control-room layouts, video operation guides, and broadcasting technique descriptions, are owned by spotlymixo or its licensors. Trademarks associated with the training programmes may not be used without permission. You may print limited personal copies of course notes for your own study but may not share them electronically or commercially. Any unauthorised use constitutes infringement under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.

Third-party services and links

The site may reference third-party tools used in live production such as video switchers or streaming platforms. These references do not constitute endorsement. spotlymixo is not responsible for the content, availability, or data practices of any third-party service linked from the site. You access such services at your own risk and should review their separate terms.

Availability, changes, suspension, and termination

Course availability depends on instructor schedules and technical infrastructure. spotlymixo may suspend access for maintenance or updates without notice. We reserve the right to modify course content or these terms. If changes materially affect your enrolment, we will notify you via the contact details you provided. Termination of access may occur for breach of these terms, with no refund unless required by consumer law.

Disclaimers that remain subject to mandatory consumer law

While we strive to provide accurate training on real-time video operation and television production management, spotlymixo does not guarantee specific career outcomes or technical results from the courses. Course demonstrations reflect current industry practice but equipment and techniques evolve. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other non-excludable matter under UK consumer law.

Limitation of liability

Subject to mandatory UK consumer rights, spotlymixo total liability for any claim arising from the site or courses shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses including loss of business opportunity or data arising from participation in live broadcasting simulations.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify spotlymixo against claims arising from your misuse of course materials or breach of these terms, including any infringement of third-party intellectual property rights during practical assignments you submit.

Governing law, courts, and consumer dispute rights

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their local courts. You retain the right to use alternative dispute resolution services or the European Online Dispute Resolution platform where applicable, although the site is operated from the United Kingdom.

Severability, waiver, changes, contact route, and last-updated date

If any provision of these terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Failure to enforce any term does not constitute a waiver. spotlymixo may update these terms periodically; the current version will always be displayed on this page. For questions about these terms contact us using the form on our Contacts page or by writing to Beaconsfield Studios, Station Road, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, HP9 1LG, emailing info@nfts.co.uk, or calling 01494 671234.
